What Is The Best Age For Treatment?
There is no “best age”. Each patient is different and starting times vary according to the conditions present. If you have a question at any age, it’s best to check with us at that time.
The American Association of Orthodontists suggests that the proper age for a child’s first orthodontic exam is 7 years. Early examination can uncover existing or potential conditions that may respond to early treatment. Early treatment may not reduce the total time of supervision; but it does often provide results that are unobtainable when treatment begins at a later age, as well as shorten the time that full braces must be worn.
We also have adult patients seeking treatment. It’s never too late to take advantage of the benefits of orthodontic treatment.
We are continually accepting new patients for treatment. Over half of our new patients are referred by other patients or friends of the practice. If you know of someone in need of orthodontic care, we stand ready to help.
